St Austell is a very early market town named after the 12th century Breton ‘Sancto Austolo’. Holy Trinity church in the centre of St Austell has been described as one of the finest Norman Churches in Great Britain and displays the first mechanical clock fitted in Cornwall.

St Austell is the centre of the China Clay industry – for many years China Clay being the most valuable British export to the United States. St Austell has direct high speed train links to London, two airports (Newquay and Exeter) within easy reach and fast access to the A30 (M5, M4). Local attractions include the Eden Project and Carlyon Bay.
